Hello Kings corner family.  Here is a winter update on Street Ministry.

Albert School – in Nov, we organized 230 lunches for the school, collected socks for their many kiddos, and gathered up clothing donations for their Clothing Giveaway at the end of November.

• Men’s and Women’s Shelters –

o We collected socks, underwear, mitts, turkeys, and hams for the Christmas season.

o Our Hug Blankets group (headed by Laurie K.) knitted/crocheted/sewed/purchased 46 blankets for the men’s shelter plus provided additional blankets for the women’s shelters.

• Church hampers and church pantry – we continue to keep our pantry stocked to provide for immediate needs that someone may have for food plus we organized 15 church hampers for the Christmas season (again including blankets made by Laurie’s team!) and assembled 12 hampers for families in need throughout the year.

• This fall, and winter we partnered with a new program – the Integrated Services Program (ISP) at the Adult Campus supporting youth. To-date, we’ve taken them monthly food hampers so the staff can cook a meal with the students – teaching important life skills plus giving the youth a nutritious, hot meal at school. For Christmas, this will include a turkey hamper with all the trimmings plus gifts for the kids. We are already looking at further initiatives to start at ISP in the new year to best support these youth.

We thank God for His guidance as we look forward to what 2025 has for our KC Street Ministry!
